Dresden Files Update

Due to a last minute scheduling conflict, James was unable to record the next installment of the Dresden Files, Ghost Story, in time to meet the publication deadline.  Therefore, another actor has recorded the audiobook.

Several people have suggested having James record it, AS WELL, when he has the time. I think that'd be the best idea.

That way the publishers can be happy having the audiobook released by the publication deadline, and those of us who just want James' narration, can wait.

Fingers crossed they go with this idea, or something similar. :)

I support that idea whole heartedly! I will wait to hear more before i listen to the audiobook.

I really really hope this could be so!!
I would gladly wait or even pay a little more just to get Marsters to read it!! He IS the one true Dresden!!!

Well, I have my fingers crossed. :)

It'd be quite a smart marketing move on their part, as well. Because there'll be people who want the audiobook straight away and people who'll wait (and even pay more, like you said) for James' version. And then there's people who'd get both versions, so it'd likely make them a tidy profit.

Guess, we'll just have to wait and see if that's an idea they'd go for.

Marsters is half of the reason I listen to the Dresden Files. I think should record when he has the time.

If James doesn't record it, I won't buy it. N offense, but after all these books, James is the VOICE of Dresden. To try to listen to someone else do it would be a constant grating on the ears--just not right. John Glover might be a fine reader, but this has already been established as the voice of the character.

Yeah, it's really a pity that they haven't gotten him to do it since, and given fans the option of which actor's version they'd like. They may still do that at some point. Here's hoping.
